ISLAMABAD: Despite falling temperature, sales of winter garments have doubled in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Different kinds of winter wear including gloves, woollen hats, mufflers, pullovers, sweaters and jackets are displayed at different stalls, shops and weekly Bazaars.
Stalls of winter are also seen at Aabpara Market, Melody Market, Super Market, Jinnah Super Market, Sittara Market, Peshawar More, Karachi Company, Faizabad, Commercial Market, Sadiqabad Chowk, Raja Bazaar and other big shopping malls.
Hashmet Khan, a clothes-dealer at Super Market while talking to APP said, "Our business is going very well these days as the demand for winter clothes has risen considerably."
He said that sales had somewhat doubled and they were expecting even more revenue in the days ahead.
Yasir Waqas, a customer, who was looking for warm clothes at Aabpara Market, said it was quite cold at that time so he was looking for muffler and sweater to keep him warm.
He said now rates were not high, so sales were expected to increase with the fall in temperature.
