ISLAMABAD: The met office on Friday forecast very cold and dry weather with dense foggy conditions in most parts of the country including federal capital for the next 24 hours.
Very cold and dry weather is expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
However, dense foggy conditions would prevail over Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions while foggy conditions in Sargodha, Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions including plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
Moreover, there will be shallow or mist fog on various sections of Islamabad-Peshawar, Islamabad-Lahore and Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorways and Islamabad-Kharian, Kharian-Lahore, Lahore-Multan, Multan-Rahim Yar Khan and Rahim Yar Khan to Sukkar National Highways.
According to temperatures as recorded, Skardu -12 to -10 centigrade, Gilgit and Kalat -6 to -4, Hunza and Quetta -5 to -3, Chitral and Parachinar -3 to -1, Bannu -2 to 0 and Zohb and Murree -1 to 1.
Meanwhile, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
