ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) has revised the design of the Takht Bhai railway flyover to meet the demands of the local people which would cost Rs 754.60 million.
An official source informed APP Tuesday that in view of the social issue rose at the site due to protests of the locals against original design the NHA has revised the existing design. As per original design the length of the bridge was to be 200 metres while now it has been revised to 425 metres.
He said that original cost of the project was Rs 582.12 million but after its revised design it would cost Rs 754.60 million meaning 29.6 percent escalation in the cost.
As per original PC-I the project completion time was 18 months but now it has been revised to 28 months.
