QUETTA: The USAID provided grant for installation of 400 solar water pumps and construction of water tanks for the remote villages of district Noshki under its small grants and Ambassador's Fund Programme (SGAFP), this project was implemented by the AZAT Foundation Balochistan.
This initiative has contributed to access to pure drinking water, Mir Ghulam Dastagir Badini Member Provincial Assembly expressed these views on closing ceremony of AZAT Foundation project here on Monday.
CEO of AZAT Foundation, Zahid Mengal said that clean portable water reduced the risk of water borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, intestinal worms and hepatitis in local communities.
Female used not a pure water for for drinking and daily usage, but after provision of solar water pumps it has ensured supply of pure drinking water that has reduced the burden of diseases and work load on local women and grills.
