MULTAN: Death toll rose to eight as another injured of stampede in PTI public meeting was succumbed to his injuries here on Saturday.
The dead were identified as Muhammad Riaz, Saleem Ullah, Maviya Hussain, Muhammad Azam, Muhammad Imran, Salman and two unknown persons.
The funeral prayers of four dead were offered this morning at Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh, Dehli Gate and Qasba Marral near Basti Malook area. PTI's senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, candidates for by-poll in NA-149, Malik Amir Dogar, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and other notables attended the funeral prayers at Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh.
On this occasion, PTI workers raised slogans against Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.
