imageISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk has constituted six benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday.

The first bench comprising Chief Justice, Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Gulzar Ahmed would hear a number of important cases including Supreme Court Bar Association petition for release of funds to complete the Supreme Court Bar Association complex and purchasing land for SCBA Cooperative Housing Society, Independent Media Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Petition regarding unwanted posters and banners against apex judiciary in Islamabad and election matters of national and provincial assemblies members.

The second bench, consisting of Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, would hear the case including suo moto action regarding violation of public Procurement Rules, 2004 in procurement loss of billions of rupees of exchequer case by National Insurance Company, All Pakistan Textile Mills Association review petition regarding unprecedented load shedding, constitutional petitions seeking restraint to Park into a shopping centre and election matters of national and provincial assemblies members.

While the third bench consisting of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Qazi Faez Isa will hear the cases including Watan Party and others constitutional petitions under Atricle 184 regarding conspiracy to malign and ridicule judiciary.

The fourth bench comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Muhamamd Ather Saeed and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed will hear the case including election matters of different national and provincial assemblies members, evacuee property settlement and sale od land to private school without lawful authority, action against distribution of development funds by Ex-prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Dr Shahnawaz Munami and others constitutional petitions under Article 184 regarding rights of the disable people in Pakistan.

The fifth bench consist of Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry. On Friday (September 26) the fifth bench would consist of a new bench including Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman and Justice Umar ata Bandial.

The sixth bench consist of Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry.

According to case lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the court.

If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the advocate-on-record will be required to argue the case.
