KARACHI: Four police personnel got injured when two motorcycle riders hurdled a hand grenade at a picket of Police Madadgar-15 beneath a bridge at Shahrah-e-Quaideen near Nursery Stop of Sharea Faisal here on Wednesday.
The injured policemen including Nasir, Maqsood, Aslam and Mahiwal were shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC), said police sources.
One of the walls of the police picket was badly damaged while its windows, door and other walls were also damaged partly. Some five to six motorcycles which were parked nearby were also badly damaged by the blast.
No casualty is reported and the condition of all injured is stable. Later the police and rangers personnel cordoned off the area and investigating agencies started collecting evidences from the scene of blast.
