imageISLAMABAD: People of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are now opting for recreation and a number of residents were seen at picnic spots on Friday despite sit-ins by Azadi and Inqalab marchers.

A number of people, along with families, came out to have recreation at public parks, Lake View Park and other spots.

Sanwal, a musician, said "Sit-ins of marchers in the capital have totally suspended cultural and musical activities in the twin cities for the last two weeks."

Naseema Abbasi, a resident of Islamabad and mother of three children said, "Both marches have badly affected the academic routine of my children like all other students and ultimately they are confined to houses."

"Now we are happy that routine life has returned to normalcy in the capital" she added.

Many families rushed to the parks to have fun and enjoyment with their children and friends. People of all age groups especially children, enjoyed the most.

Youth were also seen roaming on motor bikes around the city roads. People also visited Daman e Koh and Chattar Park.

Many people also thronged Melody Food Park, Food Street and other food spots, which were also visited by those who came from adjacent areas of the twin cities.

The people are also expected to come to recreational spots on Saturday and Sunday.
