imageLAHORE: Punjab Minister for Environment and Protection Col (r) Shuja Khanzada Tuesday said, PTI was conspiring against democratically elected government for lust of power.

"Imran is dancing to the tune of foreign mentors and his dream to grab power through backdoor will never be materialized," he observed.

Talking to various delegations at his office, he said, PTI leadership could not digest PML-N historic victory in the last general election and playing a game with its workers to keep them intact and politically motivated. He urged the PTI not to go for protest rally as it would only lead to chaos and anarchy in the country.

He questioned that what logic behind holding the long march as the central government had already constituted a parliamentary fact-finding committee to discuss PTI's issues on election reforms. "Political matters should always be resolved in a political way in the larger national interest," Shuja opined.

To a question, the minister said, the government had no objection to a peaceful protest as it was democratic and political right of every political party. However, he said, the mechanism for the protest should be outlined saying business activities and other people should not be disturbed through the protest.

Khanzada said, every body knew the PML-N led government has a public welfare agenda besides carrying out dozens of mega development projects and political dwarfs sacred of the party's popularity had bent upon to malign it through a smear campaign.

The government was stable and would not be impressed with the so-called protests and long marches, he added.
