LAHORE: The Punjab government with the support of the federal government, ILO, EU and other development partners is organizing a three-day ministerial level South Asia Labour Conference at a local hotel on Thursday.
Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the conference while Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
The objective of the conference is to enhance cooperation among South Asian countries for joint initiatives to improve labour market management and labour market policies.
A large delegation from Sri Lanka and labour ministers, secretaries, employers, SAARC Chambers of Commerce & Industries and workers' representatives from South Asian countries will also attend it.
