ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast rain-thunderstorm for isolated places in Kashmir, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
The synoptic situation says that a westerly wave was present over upper and central parts of the country and likely to prevail during next 24 hours and move over northeast ward thereafter.
Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab especially plain areas, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours was Dadu 41 C and Chhor, Sibbi, Turbat and Moenjodaro 40 C.
The maximum temperatures recorded in the other cities were Islamabad 27 C, Lahore 27 C, Karachi 33 C, Peshawar 29 C, Quetta 27 C, Skardu 18 C, Murree 13 C, Muzaffarabad 18 C, Gilgit 22 C, Faisalabad 29 C, Multan 34 C and Hyderabad 38 C.
The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Lower Dir 69 mm, Malamjabba 36, Noorpur Thal 24, D.G Khan, Gujranwala 16, Saidu Sharif, Bannu, Joharabad 14, D.I Khan 12, Muzaffarabad, Shaheed Benazirabad 11, Balakot, Chakwal and Jhang 09 mm.
