imageKARACHI: The first death anniversary of former Sindh Sports Minister and famous orthopeadic surgeon Dr.Syed Mohammad Ali Shah will be held on February 8, it was announced on Friday.

Quran Khawani will be held at his family residence F-97, Block-F, North Nazimabad here, according to announcement made by his sons Dr. Syed Imran Ali Shah and Dr.Syed Junaid Ali Shah.

Dr.Shah, who died in Houston (USA) last February, remained the Governing Board member of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), President Karachi City Cricket Association and head of Sindh Olympic Association.

He played a big role in promotion and development of sports with focus on cricket.

Few months before his death Dr.Muhammad Ali Shah invited a World XI to play matches against Pakistan XI at National Stadium.
