ISLAMABAD: Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan, senior most Judge of the Islamabad High Court Wednesday took oath as Acting Chief Justice. Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui administered the oath.
The President has appointed Justice Riaz as acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court under the Article 196 of the Constitution, said a notification issued here.
The oath taking ceremony was held at the premises of the court and attended by the presidents of High Court and district bars including Law Division's officers.
The appointment was made after the departure of Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi for performing Hajj.
