KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh Shahid Nadeem Syed chaired a meeting to review law and order and implementation of operational strategy against the criminal elements in Karachi.
According to a police statement issued here on Sunday, the meeting was attended among others by the AIG Special Branch, AIG Operation, DIG Administration and SSPs.
The meeting discussed at length category-wise killing incidents and progress of investigation so far.
The meeting also reviewed the policing strategy with regard to existing resources and deployment/ police patrolling plan.
The IGP directed to ensure liaison with intelligence agencies and other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for result-oriented actions against the criminals and miscreants.
He further directed that the operation against the criminal elements should be impartial and task-oriented.
He asked the senior police officers to supervise every action personally in proper coordination with other LEAs, adding that "negligence of any kind shall not be tolerated".
