LAHORE: PML-Q President, Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and central leader Moonis Elahi have said that the nation needed to revive the spirit of 1947 as our survival was linked with the existence of Pakistan.
In a felicitation message to the nation on the occasion of 14th August, the PML-Q leadership said 'we should stand above our territorial, racial and prejudices in order to transform Pakistan into a genuine Islamic welfare state as per the sayings of the founder of the nation, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah".
"It is necessary to bring round the estranged patriotic groups and make them play their role in the national mainstream politics for the solidarity of Pakistan", the message read.
They stressed the need to forge unity for the progress, prosperity and resolution of the problems faced by the people.
They lauded the role of the Pakistan Army and the security forces in the maintenance of internal security and defending the borders of the country.
"Let us pray to Allah Almighty for the stability, solidarity and strengthening of the country and resolve to serve the country with dedication and devotion," it said.
