ISLAMABAD: The Council of Common Interest (CCI) chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif met here Tuesday to discuss new energy policy and other important issues related to the provinces.
All members of the CCI including the four chief ministers attended the meeting, a Prime Minister House spokesman said.
This is the first meeting of CCI under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sharif and is designed to have a detailed input of the provinces on the national energy policy.
The meeting will also focus on the CCI's functioning, implementation and execution procedures, deliberation over the new energy policy, gas theft control and recovery draft bill, and offences and penalties relating to electricity theft.
