LAHORE: Unknown miscreants gunned down a lawyer identified as Zain Ghaffar here on Wednesday.
According to police, armed motorcyclists sprayed bullets at Zain Ghaffar as he came out of his house located in Y-Block of DHA Defence, Lahore killing him on the spot and fled the scene.
Police said that the deceased Zain Ghaffar’s brother was also killed six month ago in Gojranawala and he was pursuing his brother’s murder case.
The deceased Zain Ghaffar had a dispute with a Gojranawala party over 300 kanal of land and Gojranawala police had advised Zain Ghaffar to remain cautious.
Meanwhile, associations representing the lawyers have expressed their anguish over the murder of their colleague and warned to go on province wide strike if the accused were not brought to book.
