ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close brotherly relations which are deeply rooted in historic and Islamic bonds, said Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer while inaugurating the Information Technology Center for Hujjaj, here Monday at ministry of Religious Affairs.
He said both the countries have commonality of views on various issues of regional and global importance and also expressed satisfaction over the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
"These relations would grow even stronger with the passage of time" he said.
The ambassador said Saudi Arabia would continue to support Pakistan in its endeavors for the development of the country.
He assured full cooperation to facilitate haj operation.
Speaking on the occasion, caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Shahzada Jamal Nazir said Saudi Arabia always ensured excellent arrangement for hujjaj from over the world, particularly from Pakistan.
He said Khadim Harmain Al Sharfain King Abdullah had a special place in the hearts of the people of Pakistan.
Briefing the media about IT center established for Hujjaj, the Minister said the receipt of applications, their sorting, scanning and feeding into the data bank will be managed by Hajj computer center.
Hajj applications from all over the country are received in this section, he said.
Saudi Arabia always ensured excellent arrangement for hujjaj from over the world, particularly from Pakistan, the Minister said, adding "We hope like the last year, the Hajj operation 2013 will also go smoothly ".
