imageISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Thursday condemned the killing of Pakistani prisoner in Jammu jail Sanaullah. He said it would undermine bilateral ties of Pakistan and India.

In a statement, he said it seemed to be a tit-for-tat incident and demanded the Indian government to investigate into it and punish the negligent officials.

He said that though Sarabjit Singh's death was condemnable but Indian side should have ensured the security of Pakistani prisoners perceiving the aftermath situation of Sarabjit's death.

Maulana said that media of both the countries should also avoid sensationalism on such incidents and perform their duties for the sake of both countries.
