PESHAWAR: The miscreants on Tuesday hurled a hand-grenade on the rooftop of residence of Pakistan Peoples' Party's (PPP) candidate, Zulfiqar Afghani for NA-1 that caused slight damage to the house however, no casualty was reported.
According to police, unknown miscreants threw a hand-grenade on the rooftop of the house of Zulfiqar Afghani, causing minor damage to the house. The incident took place in Gulbahar-1 area, police said and added that no one was injured in the incident.
Gulbahar police have registered a case against unknown miscreants and a search operation was initiated in the area.
No arrest was made till filing of this report.
When contacted, Zulfiqar Afghani said such acts could not deter them from taking part in the general elections and the campaign would continue with same spirit.
