LARKANA: More than 25 candidates belonging to various political parties as well independents filed nomination papers to contest the forthcoming general elections-2013 from various constituencies of National and Provincial Assemblies' of Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot district here Friday.
Moazzam Ali Abbasi, son of former MPA of PPP Haji Munawwar Ali Abbasi and grandson of former deputy speaker of National Assembly Dr Mrs Ashraf Abbasi submitted his nomination papers for the National Assembly seat of Larkana NA-204 (Larkana-I) as an independent candidate to the Returning Officer NA-204 Mr. Simkhan Hussain Mughal who is also the Second Additional District and Sessions Judge, Larkana.
Babu Sarfaraz Jatoi of PML(N) also filed his nomination paper for NA-204 (Larkana-I) to the Third Additional District and Sessions Judge Larkana and Returning officer of NA-204 (Larkana-I). Dolah Darya Khan of Sindh United Party (SUP) filed nomination for NA-204 (Larkana-I) while Engineer Saifullah Abro of PPP filed nomination paper for NA-204 (Larkana-I) with the Returning Officer of this constituency.
Other candidates also filed their nominations with the concerned Returning Officers, who include Nazir Ahmed Shaikh of PML(F) for provincioal assembly seat PS-36 (Larkana-II), Rizwan Ahmed Kehar of PML(N) for PS-36 (Larkana-I) while Engineer Saifullah Abro of PPPP filed the nomination paper for PS-37 (Larkana-I). Amir Bux Khan Bhutto of PML(N) also submitted his nomination papers for the provincial seat of PS-37 (Larkana-I). Rehmatullah Abro of PPPP filed his nomination papers for the seat of PS-37 (Larkana-I).
More candidates also obtained nomination papers for various National and Provincial Assemblies' seats of Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot districts from different Returning Officers.
Candidates belonging to different political parties and the independent candidates with their supporters visited the offices of returning officers and filed their papers on the 6th day of receiving and filing of nomination papers for general elections to be held on May 11, 2013.
Sunday is the last date of filing nomination papers till 4 p.m.
