LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Monday inaugurated a modern 300-bed hospital here at Shahdara and termed it an excellent gift for the people.
On this occasion, he told media that new hospitals had been constructed throughout the province to ensure provision of medical facilities to people at their doorstep and billions of rupees had also been spent on latest treatment facilities and free medicines during last five years. Modern machinery and specialists doctors had been posted in the Shahdara hospital, he added.
To a question, Shahbaz said the name of personalities having good repute were proposed for caretaker setup in center and Punjab by the PML-N, adding that further consultation for caretaker setup was also continuing in the party.
After inaugurating the hospital, the Chief Minister inspected operation theatre and reviewed the medical facilities being provided there.
Secretary Communication and Works and Secretary Health gave briefing about the project and the medical facilities respectively. While, MPA Rana Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Secretary Health, hospital administration and a large number of people were present.
