NA offers Fateha for Karachi clerics
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Friday offered Fateha for the deceased souls of religious scholars who had been murdered in Karachi on Thursday.
Speaking on a point of order, Maulvi Asmatullah said religious scholars had been killed in Karachi that was strongly condemnable.
Asif Husnain said the law and order situation was deteriorating in Karachi and said Interior Minister Rehman Malik should brief the House about the terror threats in Karachi he had announced recently.
He said some elements were poised to destabilize the country and sought the House debate on the issue.
Asiya Nasir said the major issue the country had been faced with was the law and order situation.
She also mentioned to the recovery of seven dead bodies from Quetta with the identities of their killers were yet unknown.
She said Karachi and Balochistan had been facing worst lawlessness even after the imposition of Governor Rule.
Later, she walked out of the House along with his colleagues from the JUI-F against the killings in Quetta, Karachi and imposition of Governor Rule.
Birjees Tahir said the House should resume debate on law and order situation that has long been on orders of the day.
