Sindh CM defers recovery of ST on services from cable operators KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has deferred the collection of sales tax on services (STS) from Cable Operators Association of Pakistan (CAP) in the larger interest of the people of Sindh using cable service.The Chief Minister took this decision during his meeting with a CAP delegation, which led by its chairman Khalid Arain called on him here, said a statement on Thursday.The CAP office bearers said that the imposition of sales tax on cable operator would pass the burden on poor customers watching TV channels through their cables.On this, the Sindh CM issued directive to the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) to hold collection of STS and take the matter to its board meeting for final decision.The Sindh CM said that he was trying to make the city of Karachi beautiful.
