Bokhari directs restoration of Bari Iman Urs this year  ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari on Tuesday directed the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration to restore the annual Urs of Bari Imam that had been disallowed since last four years owing to security reasons.   Chairing a meeting of Bari Imam Shrine Development Committee, the chairman Senate said the Urs of Bari Imam should be held at any cost in April as the district administration was responsible to ensure security of the devotees.   He also expressed dissatisfaction over the snail pace work on construction of Bari Imam shrine and said the committee would examine the development work on January 21 and take all decisions during the visit.   Bokhari said the annual Urs of other saints are being held regularly, so why the same is being disallowed in Bari Imam.   He also directed the preservation of a banyan tree in the shrine and restoration of a water springs as the devotees had an attachment with ...
