Shopping from Utility Stores, Sasta bazaars best option to discourage profiteering, hoarding
PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Communication, Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan said on Monday the government has reduced prices of daily use items at utility stores by giving Rs.2.5 billion subsidy to consumers to provide them maximum relief during the holy month of Ramzanul Mubarak.
Talking to people of his constituency here, he mentioned the that government wanted to give maximum relief to the people during Ramzanul Mubarak and Rs.2.5 billion subsidy on commodities at the utility stores are being provided to consumers. There are 5800 utility stores in the country where 1800 different commodities were being sold on discounted rates.
Appreciating the measures of Khyber Pakthunkhwa government for organizing 'Sasta' (inexpensive) bazaars in five different places of Peshawar, the Minister urged people to take full advantage of this facility to discourage menace of hoarding and profiteering.
He said unity was the need of the hour to address peoples' problems. For removal of hurdle and bring the country on road to progress and development, the Minister said, support of people for PPP is must to improve the socio-economic condition of masses.
