PESHAWAR: The provincial government has allocated Rs 590.30 million in annual budget 2012-13 for promotion of science and technology in the province.
Provincial Financial Minister, Engineer Humayun Khan in his budget speech said on Friday that provincial government was paying serious attention to promote science and technology in the province.
He said in next fiscal year besides establishment of another IT Park at Abbottabad, government would encourage to use of IT in institutions working for promotion and research in Biotechnology sector.
He said that government has allocated Rs 590.38 million for 29 projects in science and technology sector which are more than 67 percent allocated in last fiscal year.
