KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers, chemical and edible oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 30% at the Port on Tuesday where total number of three ships namely CGM Eiffel, STX Knight and MV EMA Querida are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 54752 tonnes, comprising 52001 tonnes imports and 2751 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2262 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
