ISLAMABAD: Carrying a number of health benefits and nutritional values, oranges are steadily becoming high in demand these days when winter is getting to its peak.
Explaining benefits, nutrionist Dr Abid Hussain said "Sweet, juicy oranges make a delicious and healthy snack or addition to a meal."
He said "A whole orange contains only about 85 calories and has no fat, cholesterol or sodium. Of course, oranges are well known for their vitamin C content."
He said "Oranges may boost immune system and improve pigmentation on the skin, they also aid heart health, cholesterol levels and other issues. Oranges may additionally help reduce the risk of respiratory diseases, certain cancers, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcers and kidney stones."
