imageRAWALPINDI: The business community on Tuesday was urged to explore business opportunities in the Central Asian Republics (CARs) as vast avenues are lying unexplored in the region.

"The businessmen should concentrate more on exploring vistas for business in the CARs", said President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Syed Asad Mashadi said addressing a meeting of the chamber here.

Mashadi pointed out that strategic location of Pakistan needs be utilized for expanding and strengthening of the country's economy as it plays pivotal role in the regions market. He said that there was dire need to introduce "made in Pakistan products" in the Central Asian region as the market has great potential for development.

Highlighting the need for educating Pakistani business community about the needs of CAR's market and their demand, Mashadi said that the concerned may come forward and hold workshops and seminars to inform the business community on the subject.

He said that RCCI had always been on the forefront to help educate the business and trade community regarding the opportunities available.

The meeting was largely attended by members and office bearers of the chamber.
