ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry met the visiting Tajikistan ambassador to India in Srinagar, Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The delegation headed by KCCI President, Sheikh Ashiq, discussed scope and possibility of trade between Tajikistan and occupied Kashmir, KMS reported.
The KCCI President told media men that the ambassador assured them that his government would facilitate the trade cooperation between the chambers of Tajikistan and the occupied territory.
He said that the visiting dignitary pledged to organize a joint meeting of the two chambers in order to start business activities.
"The ambassador stressed on the revival of historic trade links between the two parts," he said, "we were also informed in the meeting that the Tajikistan government will take up the matter of direct flights from Tajikistan to Srinagar with the concerned quarters in India."
