Government to purchase 36000tonnes wheat from Sargodha

SARGODHA: Thirty six wheat purchase centres have been set up to achieve the target of thirty six thousands metric ton wheat from Sargodha division.

According to a spokespersons of the food department, wheat price has been fixed as Rs. 1240 per forty kilograms and gunny bags would be distributed among farmers in three phases,sixty percent for first 15 days,25 percent for next 15 days, while 15 percent gunny bags would be distributed in the last 19 days.

He said that 200 jute bags,400 polypropylene bags would be delivered to a farmer at a time.

He said that gunny bags distribution will continue till May 31 to be received till June 7.He added that payments would be made through banks by special payment booths.
