LAHORE: A six-member delegation from Taiwan Thursday evinced keen interest in Pakistan handicrafts and appreciated high standard of workmanship reflecting rich culture of the country.
Leader of the delegation Yohannes Kuehorn, while talking to APP during his visit to Pakistan Handicrafts Shop here acknowledged that Pakistani artisans possess rare capabilities and potential to produce best quality handicrafts.
Other members of the delegation--Dr Albert Chu, Willy Fok, Lincoln Wang, Ms. Judy Seng, Ms. Betty and Ms Sabia Lin appreciated cottage industry products and purchased salt electric lamps, handmade leather purses, stone utensils, hand knitted carpets, wooden sticks etc.
Regional Director, PSIC, Lahore Region, Ali Raza Tarar while briefing the delegation said that PSIC is fully committed to promote cottage industry for the welfare of the artisans.
He said PSIC extends loans on soft terms and conditions to fully encourage the cottage industry which always plays pivotal role in strengthening national economy.
