ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani on Wednesday asked the government to present report till Monday in the House regarding increase in fares of private airlines.
Speaking in the Senate, Raza Rabbani said that action can be initiated according to laws against the private airline on increase of fares.
Leader of the House in Senate, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said the government has issued instruction to the management of private airlines through Competitive Commission that they could not increase fares.
He said he has also talked to Advisor on Civil Aviation and Chief Competitive Commission as the latter that the Prime Minister has also issued instructions and the matter was being looked into.
Raja Zafar-ul-Haq assured the House that report in this regard would be presented till Monday.
