LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that there are strong historical, cultural and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, saying it will further strengthen after the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking at the Lahore Airport after his return from Saudi Arabia's visit on Thursday, he said that the historic welcome extended to Pakistani delegation by Khadim-e-Haramain Sharifain Shah Salman-bin-Abdulaziz will always be remembered. He said that people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are bound together in strong ties of love and brotherhood.
The Chief Minister said that the rousing welcome given to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif by Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz at the airport fully reflects the warm relations between the two countries.
He said that Saudi Arabia has extended invaluable cooperation for the progress and development of Pakistan and helped it in every hour of need. He said that Saudi Arabia is a true friend of Pakistan and supported it in every crisis.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the people of the two countries are closely affiliated with each other, adding that the hearts of the people of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan beat together.
He said that the leadership and people of Pakistan highly appreciate the cooperation of Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Arabia which is an asset for Pakistan.
