ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday canceled the petitions challenging the decision by Election Tribunal.
A three-member bench led by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk announced his decision regarding the petition against the Election Tribunal's decision.
The bench observed that the court doesn't have the authority to declare Election Tribunal's decision void.
The petitions were filed by Sheikh Rasheed, Raza Hayat, Muhammad Riaz Malik, Afzal Khokhar and others.
The court rejected the petitions stating that the interim decision by Election Tribunal can't be challenged at the High Court level and therefore, the decision cannot be declared void.
