imageISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar on Wednesday appreciated the positive approach of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to shun negative politics in the country.

Commenting on Prime Minister address at the National Assembly today, the minister said that the PM rightly said that the parliament was representative of 200 million people and majority was supporting democracy which was unprecedented.

She said that Nawaz Sharif has said that the government can be held accountable on its wrongdoings, however emphasized that it's positive activities and achievements should also be acknowledged, she added.

She said that it is a fact that the ongoing situation of political disturbance had not perplexed Prime Minister and his party had seen many ups and downs in the past.

She said that Nawaz Sharif had accepted with open heart the mandate of Pakistan Peoples Party in the 2008 general election despite the fact that he faced several restrictions including rejection of his own nomination papers.

She said Nawaz Sharif supported the PPP government for the continuation of democratic system. She added Nawaz Sharif visited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan to inquire about his health when he got injured during his election campaign. Imran Khan had congratulated him on victory of PML-N and assured that PTI would support the government and play the role of a positive opposition.

She said the PM also visited to Imran Khan's residence in Bani Gala on his invitation where full camaraderie was observed during the meeting and positive discussion was held.

She said the PM invited all political parties to come forward and give their proposals for reforms for the betterment of country. A 33-member committee has already been set up to devise a working agenda of reforms in all areas, where required.
