KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan, has said that inspite of limited resources the government is endeavouring to provide best facilities to the people.
The international financial institutions are playing an important role in overcoming the resource limitations, he added.
The Governor was talking to a representative delegation of the World bank and International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The delegation led by World Bank's Sector Manager, Ming Zhang, called on Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan at the Governor House here on Wednesday.
The Governor said that there are some projects that need immediate investment and these include Solid Waste Management, K-IV and S-III, Karachi Circular Railway and Mass Transit etc.
He said that the initial formalities and necessary paper work in this regard has been completed and these can be initiated with immediate effect.
Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad was of the view that the World Bank's assistance would be vital in this regard.
Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Naushad Shaikh, Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Siddiqui and Administrator KMC, Hashim Raza Zaidi were also present on the occasion.
