LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela,Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Wednesday was as follows:
Rivers:Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 21300 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 9000 cusecs and Outflows 9000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla-Inflows 12000 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 6800 cusecs and Outflows 3000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 55500 cusecs and Outflows 48000 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 40800 cusecs and Outflows 41000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 29400 cusecs and Outflows 29400 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 13300 cusecs and Outflows 9000 Guddu- Inflows 38200 cusecs and Outflows 31900 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 31700 cusecs and Outflows 3800 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 6087 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela-dead level 1380 feet, present level 1475.83 feet,maximum level 1550 feet,live storage 2.659 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla-dead level 1040 feet, present level 1182.80 feet, maximum level 1242 feet,live storage 3.429 MAF,Chashma-dead level 637 feet, present level 644.40 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.125 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
