MULTAN: Makhdoom Javed Hashmi vowed Friday to protect the system after getting re-elected in the by-election.
Speaking at a press conference at his residence, he pointed out why Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) was supporting a candidate after announcing boycott of the election.
"It's funny that Imran Khan wants to dissolve the natioal assembly while, on the other hand, he is arriving here to campaign for the candidate," he said.
He said Imran Khan's arrival in the city would be fruitless and will face the same fate as happened with his sit-in.
Hashmi demanded NA speaker to approve the resignations of the PTI legislatures as per the constitution.
He added that he was particularly waiting for the resignation of his arch-rival Shah Mahmood Qureshi from the National Assembly.
