BERLIN: Pakistan's Embassy here, as part of its Lecture Series, organized a talk on "Pakistan Germany Relations: A historian's perspective" by Volker Tschapke, President of the Prussian Society, Berlin-Brandenburg,here on Saturday.
In his talk Tschapke traced the roots of the interactions between the Brandenburg-Prussian Royal Kingdom in Western Europe and the Mughals in South Asia in the seventeenth century.
He threw a light on the political environment of those bye-gone days in Europe and in South Asia and termed these 17th century connections the corner stone of present day cordial bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany.
Earlier Ambassador Abdul Basit in his welcome remarks said that Pakistan and Germany enjoy excellent relations and these were growing day by day. People from cross section of the German Society, Expatriates and Students attended the event.
