ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Hight Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved judgment in the passport lamination paper contract case.
During the hearing of the case, DG Immigration and Passport Zulfiqar Cheema in his testimony said that former Interior Minister, Rehman Malik wanted to give the passport lamination contract to one company and the delay thereby provided an opportunity to the mafia to take bribe as much as Rs. 25000 for issuance of a passport.
Zulfiqar Cheema also disclosed that even cycle-puncture menders were issued blue passport on the orders of interior ministry, however, he has now ordered cancellation of all such passports.
