imageSWABI: The transporters union of Swabi district here Tuesday agreed to reduce fare as per the Govt prescribed price list revised by Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) following reduction of petroleum prices.

This assurance was given to the administration during a meeting between police officers and transporters association held at the office of DSP Headquarters Zain Khan Jadoon called to review implementation on the revised fare list in the wake of reduction of petroleum prices announced by the Federal Government few days ago.

Traffic incharge, Niaz Gul Khan, President Union Transport Hakeemdad Khan, Manager Shah Khalid, Transport Union Secretary Aman Khan and other office bearers attended the meeting.

It was decided to reduce prices as per the revised fare list prepared by Govt in the aftermath of massive slash in petroleum prices.

It was agreed to fix fare lists at prominent places in the passengers vehicles and strict action against transporters and drivers found guilty of over-charging should be taken.
