Rs40mn distributed among 2200 flood hit families LAHORE: The process of distribution of Khadim-e-Aala Relief Card worth Rs. 20,000 among 22,500 flood affected families of tehsil Rojhan is being completed to be accomplished within two weeks.   Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sherdil stated that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab so far Rs 40 million has been distributed among 2200 families.   He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting about provision of Khadim-e-Aala Relief Cards, here Monday, stated a hand out. Hameedullah Malik, Qasim Zaman Khan and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.   While giving details, Mujahid Sherdil said that earlier, Rs 25.632 million were given as relief fund among 4380 flood affected families of Rajanpur, 5725 of DG Khan and 2711 of Jampur.   Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013

Four held, arms, narcotics seized QUETTA: Law enforcement agency and ANF arrested four suspects recovering arms and narcotics from their possession in Kila Abdullah district.   LEA sources said on Monday that acting on a tip off, LEA and Anti Narcotics Force conducted raid at a place and captured four suspects.   Weapons and huge quantity of narcotics were seized from their possession.   Further investigation was underway.   Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013

Utility Stores acquires 75000 MT wheat from PASSCO ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has purchased 75000 MT of wheat from Pakistan Agriculture Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO) in order to reduce the ongoing wheat flour shortage and keep its prices in control.   "We had signed a contract with PASCO under which 75000 MT of wheat have been acquired and sent to different flour mills", a senior official of the Corporation told APP here on Monday.   He said currently wheat flour is available in abundant ...
