Since 2000, UNESCO has been compiling and publishing these reports. Objective is to monitor progress of member states and regions towards six EFA Goals committed in Dakar in April 2000.

These Reports offer statistical data and analytical information on six goals of EFA and other dynamics affecting achievement of these goals.

This year's theme of GMR is "Youth and Skills" which relate to Goal No 3 of Education For All, said a press release issued here.

With a view to inform policy makers, planners, and CSOs about various issues and factors affecting achievement of EFA goals in Pakistan, this important Report is being launched in many countries around the globe on October 16.
