ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law Farooq H. Naek called on Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf at Prime Minister House here on Tuesday and discussed with him various legal issues and the provision of quick and inexpensive justice to the people.
The Law Minister briefed the Prime Minister regarding the amendments in the CrPC law to control the theft of electricity, gas and petrol.
The Minister also discussed the problem of stay orders which have stuck more than billion rupees of public money.
The Prime Minister directed the Law Minister to study the law regarding the dual citizenship, right of vote and representation.
The Minister should review the rights and privileges of Overseas Pakistanis who have been contributing in Pakistan's economy in a big way by sending more than 12 billion dollars remittance, the Prime Minister added.
The Prime Minister directed the Minister to look after the Pakistanis who are stuck in foreign jails and compile their data with a view to extend them legal help.
