ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan announced Friday that bye-election on NA-151 Multan-IV of the National Assembly would be held on July 19.
The seat fell vacant following disqualification of Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani as member National Assembly.
As per schedule of the bye-election, on June 25 and 26 nomination papers of the candidates will be received by returning officers. Scrutiny of the papers will be done on June 28 and 29 while last date for filing of appeals against decisions of the returning officer rejecting or accepting the nomination papers will be July 2.
Last date for deciding appeals by the tribunal will be July 4 while last date for withdrawal of papers will be July 5. Revised list of candidates will be published on July 6.
