ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) Monday extended ten-day physical remand of three accused in a case related to mega money laundering and fake accounts.
The National Accountability Bureau (NABP) produced the three accused Syed Asif Mehmood, Syed Arif Ali and Khursheed Anwar Jamali before anti graft court.
NAB prosecutor Wasiq Malik pleaded that the accused were not fully cooperating with the investigation process and prayed the court to grant their further physical remand.
The accused persons were misguiding the investigation through false statements, he said, and informed the court that their mobiles phones had been sent for forensic analysis.
He stated that machinery for Noor Abadi Power Company had been purchased from abroad against the exceeding price than the market value.
The above persons were accused of corruption in export of machinery.
The court, however, granted further physical remand of the accused and adjourned the case.
