Met Office predicts heatwave to hit Karachi this weekend

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted that Karachi will likely be hit by another heatwave this weekend.

According to the Met Office, heatwave in Karachi will last from May 25 to May 27. During this spell, wind flow will mainly be from northwesterly during day time. Meanwhile, the temperature in the port city will rise to 39-41ºC

The heatwave alert notification further advises authorities and all stakeholders to take necessary precautions. The notification also requests authorities and all stakeholders to keep abreast from heatwave updates by Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature on Thursday in the metropolitan will fall between 36ºC to 38ºC .
