Rain expected in city

LAHORE: Dust-thunderstorm/ rain with isolated hailstorm are expected at scattered places in Punjab including provincial capital during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature in provincial capital was recorded at 33 degree celsius on Thursday.

According to Met. office, scattered dust-thunderstorm/ rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, DG Khan and Bahawalpur divisions during the next 24 hours.However, dust-thunderstorm/ rain occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha and Faisalabad during the last 24 hours.

Rainfall (mm) during the last 24 hours: Bhakkar 11, Narowal 10, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 7, Chaklala 4), Murree, Gujrat, Mangla 4, Lahore 2, Sialkot, Jhelum, Noorpurthal, Jhang, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujranwala 1.

According to synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country and likely to affect different parts of the province during the next two, three days.

Farmers have been advised to take adoptive measure and schedule the irrigation plans.
